La tournée National Meetup 2021 et les nombreux voyages en Alberta pour TFCG ont été un grand succès. J'ai rencontré plus de 500+ participants et j'ai plus de 85 000 images de troncs à traiter.
Du début des années 50 au milieu des années 80, environ 20 000 enfants des Premières Nations, métis et inuits partout au Canada ont été retirés à leur famille par les services de protection de l’enfance et placés en famille d’accueil ou proposés en adoption dans des ménages pour la plupart non autochtones. Beaucoup ont été emmenés sans le consentement de la famille. C’est ce qu’on appelle le « Scoop des années 60 ». Ces malles de l'Alberta ont été photographiées par Lew (UL et UR), Raven Song (LR), et Rebecca (LL), qui ont toutes été ramassées et traitées par moi. Les images de troncs photographiées par ces individus seront utilisées dans le projet The Forest - Common Ground ® avec des portraits de masques spirituels pour honorer ceux qui ont été « écopés ».

The National Meetup 2021 tour and numerous Alberta trips for TFCG were a big success. Met with 500+ participants and have 85,000+ trunk images to process.
From the early 50’s to the mid-80’s, approximately 20,000 First Nations, Métis and Inuit children throughout Canada were taken from their families by child welfare and placed in foster care or put up for adoption in mostly non-Indigenous households. Many were taken without family consent. It is called the “60s Scoop.” These Alberta trunks were photographed by Lew (UL and UR), Raven Song (LR), and Rebecca (LL), all of whom were scooped, and processed by me. Trunk images photographed by these individuals will be used in The Forest - Common Ground ® project along with spirit mask portraits to honor those who were “scooped.”
